Important:
If you are having hold music professionally recorded, it is important that it be generated in the correct format. Correct Format: Mono, 8Khz, 16 Bit, Microsoft WAV (PCM).
How to convert hold music to the correct format
This article explains how to use the free tool Audacity (https://www.audacityteam.org/download/) to convert audio files into the format required by the PBX.
- Open file in AUDACITY & open MoH File
 - Set project rate at bottom of screen to 8000Hz
 - Make sure the file is set to MONO
 - Click the drop down arrow on the wave file and select “Set sample rate – 16 bit“
 - Do not change the “RATE” on the track
 - Select File Menu > Export > Export as WAV
 - Select Wav (MICROSOFT) Signed 16 BIT PCM
 
How to upload hold music to the PBX
- Log in to your Hosted PBX Portal
 - Under the Settings menu, click Music on Hold
 - Click Add – a new popup will appear.
 - In the name field, give it a useful name
 - Select Type: File
Select Volume: 100% - Click Choose File
 - Locate the file on your compute rand select it
 - Click Save
 

How to select the hold music
- From Settings menu, select General Settings
 - Under Music on Hold Source, select the name of your new recording
 - From the bottom of the page, click Save
