Working from home using your Hosted PBX
Option 1 – Divert calls to a mobile telephone
In this scenario, your office number can be diverted to your mobile telephone. To activate this feature, email to support@binarynetworks.com.au the number you would like to divert from and divert to. Please note that you cannot divert calls to multiple telephones at once. If your mobile phone has voicemail functionality, please consider disabling this otherwise second and subsequent calls will divert to your mobile’s voicemail.
Note: Due to a high volume of requests, please be patient while we process your diversion. We cannot guarantee that diversion will be activated to begin at a specific time.
Option 2 – Take home your desk phone
You will need to take your desk phone home with you. Connect your IP telephone from the socket marked “NET” to your home network. Remember to take the network cable with you! If your phone is powered by the network cable, you will need to purchase a power supply for your handset. To order a power supply, please visit this link.
Note: Your home network must have the ability to plug in a network cable. Wifi only routers are not supported. Wifi routers that have a network port are acceptable.
Option 3 – Use a soft phone
There are lots of free soft phones available so that you can make and receive VoIP calls using your computer, laptop or mobile device. Make sure your device has suitable microphones or speaker, however best to consider a headset to ensure background and computer noise is minimised. Choose your own softphone or consider the free softphone – ZoIPer .

Once you have installed the softphone to your device, please contact us to obtain the SIP Credentials for your extension.
Please note we highly recommend disabling international calling on your account while using a soft phone to minimise the chance of toll fraud.
Working from home using your SIP Trunk / On-Premise PBX
If you have a SIP trunk connected to your on-premise telephone system, then you will need to divert calls to a single mobile phone.
To activate this feature, email to support@binarynetworks.com.au the number you would like to divert from and divert to. Please note that you cannot divert calls to multiple telephones at once. If your mobile phone has voicemail functionality, please consider disabling this otherwise second and subsequent calls will divert to your mobile’s voicemail.
